Orff Schulwerk for Children

German composer and educator Carl Orff developed a child-centered approach to music education that combines music, speech, movement drama and dance into engaging playful lessons.  These musical activities enhance children’s creativity, motor skills, listening abilities, social interaction and build an understanding of musical concepts through hands-on and collaborative learning.  The Conservatory’s Orff classes are taught by Miriam Moore.
