MIRIAM MOORE | VOICE

Miriam Moore has been teaching elementary music and choirs using the Orff approach for over thirty years. With Level III Orff training from the University of Denver and apprentice levels teaching with The College Conservatory of Cincinnati, she is now a teacher trainer for the American Orff Schulwerk Association and a frequent Michigan presenter. A Master of Music degree in Music Education from Oakland University in 2008 brings new research and philosophical perspectives to her work. Her thesis topic was “Choir As Community”. In 2010, Miriam taught in Istanbul, Turkey at Irmak Oculari, a private school on the Asian side of the Marmara Sea. She has been on staff as a voice teacher at the Clarkston Conservatory of Music since 1975 and has taught General Music for Cranbrook Schools since 1998.
