Matthew Stephan Schiebold has appeared as cello soloist with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, where he has been a symphony member for 28 years, Mr Schiebold was invited to tour with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on their European grand tour, and has also performed with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. Accompanied by pianist Lawrence Lagore, Mr. Schiebold presented many concerts as soloist with the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Concert Series. He has served on the faculty of Oakland University, and has been heard as a soloist in live radio broadcasts on WQRS, Detroit's classical music station.

Currently Mr. Schiebold maintains a private studio along with an active chamber music schedule. His degrees are from the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, where he studied with Samuel Mayes and Italo Babini. Mr. Schiebold is known as a performer, instructor, workshop clinician and coach. He has coached with Nathaniel Rosen, Paul Katz and Chaim Zemach, and was chosen to perform in a master class for Isaac Stern.
